Artist’s Statement: For the rebuild the internet project, I worked with Andy Malocu and Reese Place. We talked for a while before we came to a conclusion on what we thought the internet was. We decided that it is ultimately like a web. There are many pathways connected and intertwined. So in order to demonstrate this concept, we built a colored web depicting the network that is the internet.

This web shows the many things people use the internet for. Some of these include entertainment, communication, relaxation, and wasting time. People use the internet everyday so we rely on it. It has become a necessity. I originally did not thing about this until now, but the white canvas shows what the internet can become. It is only sparsely covered by things we do on the internet today but, it has the potential to grow exponentially.
